FURTHER REQUIRED COURSES (OFAs) – a.y. 2025/2026
The fulfilment of OFAs is assigned based on the score obtained in the degree courses admission tests of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics.
Thresholds for the different courses below which OFAs are assigned, implicating an assessment of knowledge
| Degree course | OFA threshold |
| Computer Science (remote mode) | 16/50 |
| Telecommunication Engineering | 16/50 |
| Information Engineering (Latina branch) | 16/50 |
| Statistics, Economics and Social Sciences | 10/36 |
| Statistics, Finance and Actuarial Sciences | 10/36 |
| Statistics for management | 10/36 |
Students enrolled in a degree course of the Faculty despite having taken the admission test for other degree courses should refer to other OFA thresholds (read call).
The result of the English section does not affect the thresholds for the assignation of OFAs.
OFA thresholds for limited admission degree course
For the degree courses in Computer Science, Computer and Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Management Engineering, the OFAs are assigned to:
- Who enrolled in the third selection and wins within the limit of the available places, but did not obtain a score greater than or equal to 18/50 in the TOLC-I or ENGLISH TOLC-I (even in the TOLC@home mode);
- Who enrolled covering potential free places after the complete scrolling of the last selection merit ranking and has taken the TOLC-I or ENGLISH TOLC-I (even in the TOLC@home mode) at Sapienza or other Universities, obtaining a lower score than 18/50.
OFAs for the limited admission degree course in Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
Mathematics OFAs are assigned to candidates who obtained a lower score than 40/100 in one of the admission tests specified in the call, even though they may be placed in an eligible position in the ranking, in accordance with the correlation table in Annex 1 of the same call, points A1.4 and A1.5.
OFAs fulfilment for all the faculty’s degree courses
The further required courses can be fulfilled through two alternative modalities:
- Passing the OFA tests;
- Passing the curricular exam.
Warning: the OFA must be fulfilled within the first year of the course (within 31/10/2026). The non-fulfilment of OFAs entails the impossibility to take exams belonging to years following the first, starting from the academic year 2026/2027.
OFA test
The OFA test can be tried once every 30 days. It consists of 20 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. To pass the test at least 12 questions must be answered correctly. To take the test one must register to the e-learning page OF@sapienza-ICI-I3S-Architettura using the password G&hu7Z1%
The “advanced mathematics” OFA test (for ICI students) and the “mathematics” OFA test (for I3S and Architecture students) can be taken exclusively in presence every day at the data centre of the S.B.A.I. Department, located in Via Scarpa, 14, building RM004.
The topics in the test are:
- Algebra
- Trigonometry
- Exponentials and Logarithms
- Analytic Geometry in the plane
- Logic and Set Theory
The data centre’s opening hours are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:30 to 13:00 (last entrance at 12:00)
On Thursdays the data centre is reserved for the Statistics laboratory.
All the information about the data centre is reachable here.
For DSA (SLD, Specific Learning Difficulties) students: the test consists of 16 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. To pass the test at least 9 questions must be answered correctly. To take the test for DSA students one must send an e-mail to giovanni.cerulliirelli@uniroma1.it attaching the certificate.
For any information please contact:
- Prof. Giovanni Cerulli Irelli, e-mail: giovanni.cerulliirelli@uniroma1.it

Support activities organised by the faculty for the fulfilment of OFAs
In order to ease the fulfilment of OFAs, the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics provides special Mathematics preparatory courses reachable in the e-learning page “Precorsi di Matematica per Ingegneria” (in Italian), accessible through the following link: elearning.uniroma1.it/enrol/index.php?id=11798 , along with the support of the designated tutors.
“Tutoraggio Diffuso” (Open Tutoring) for Mathematical Analysis and Geometry: it is a space dedicated to group study and discussion with the tutors, to resolve immediate doubts and exercises.
- Period: from the 26th of January to the 20th of February.
- Place: data centre, Via Scarpa, 16, building RM004.
- Hours: from Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 to 15:00.
- Tutors:
- Davide Camarrone camarrone.1985561@studenti.uniroma1.it (January 26, 27, 28, 29, 30)
- Irene Pucci pucci.1952032@studenti.uniroma1.it (February 2, 3, 4, 9, 10)
- Luca Addiucci luca.addiucci@uniroma1.it (February 5)

- Gloria Abbasciano abbasciano.1950619@studenti.uniroma1.it (February 17, 18, 19)
For what concerns Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, the faculty will provide a recorded Linear Algebra preparatory course, along with the designated tutors’ support. The link to attend the course will be published on the degree course’s page, at the following link: https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/it/course/33502
